The Table
The Table started as a way to work out my issues in a fictional format, but as it turns out, it isn't healing to write it's actually extremely exhausting. Florence (strictly unrelated to my yume, Florence has been around a lot longer. Like three years.), has been named different things in different books for years, but ultimately she is the same person. The Table is driven by her, the plot being only after getting married too young and her husband dying, she spirals and has nobody to help her get back up. Her mother (whom her relationship with is poor) tries but it always turns to shit, essentially. Then she meets another guy and tries to incorporate him into her life and dysfunctional family without losing him, too. The romance is not a central plot, it is very much on the back burner, it's primary literary fiction, just her going through life. She also is very in her head, and has some obsessive-compulsive tendecies which I didn't know I had written her to have until I was told I have obsessive-compulsive tendencies (I was projecting--shocking). (Those who fit the statistic of taking 12-14 years to get diagnosed, unite!).
